There is also a free option to include the reference Jeremiah 17:7-8 on the sleeve, which says… “But blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him. 8 They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”

THEATRE CLASS DRESS CODE

PLEASE WEAR ALL BLACK. Shorts OR pants are acceptable, as long as one can move freely without exposure. Shirts should also cover and allow for free movement. TENNIS SHOES are a must! Hair must be pulled away from the face.

DANCE CLASS DRESS CODE

This dress code is a required element of Greenleaf’s dance program. Specific leotard colors have been selected to create class uniformity, encouraging precision and focus.

In all classes

• Hair must be pulled away from the face.
• No bare midriffs or low-cut tops (wear a leotard under t-shirts).
• No jewelry except stud earrings.

When ordering online, pay close attention to measurements and sizing charts. Not all dance attire follows standard sizing.

GIRLS & WOMEN:

In all leotards, chest must be fully covered and supported. Short ballet skirts are welcomed in ballet classes.  Add knit shorts or skirt over tights in mixed classes and always before exiting the dance room into the lobby. 

Hair for all ballet style classes must be in a ballet bun.  Students with hair too short to make a bun should pull hair back from face with a headband or bobby pins.

PRE-BALLET: light pink leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes

BALLET/JAZZ: black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes

BALLET/TAP: black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes AND black tap shoes

BALLET 1A & 1B: light blue leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes

BALLET 2A & 2B: plum leotard, pink tights, pink split-sole ballet shoes. No shorts in class.

BALLET 3-5: black leotard, pink convertible tights, pink split-sole canvas ballet shoes. No shorts in class.

POINTE: same as ballet level. First pointe shoes should be fitted by a professional. 

TEEN/ADULT BALLET: black leotard, pink convertible tights, pink split-sole canvas ballet shoes. No shorts in class.

JAZZ: black leotard, black dance pants or athletic leggings, black jazz shoes

MODERN: black leotard, black dance pants or athletic leggings. No shoes.

CONTEMPORARY/JAZZ FUSION: black leotard, black dance pants or athletic leggings, black jazz shoes

JAZZ/TAP: black leotard, black dance pants or athletic leggings, black jazz shoes AND black tap shoes

TAP: black leotard, black dance pants or athletic leggings, black tap shoes. May add black athletic shirt. 

MT DANCE: black leotard, black dance pants or athletic leggings, black jazz shoes. May add black athletic shirt. 

HSAD: Black leotard, black dance pants or leggings, black jazz shoes. May wear dress or shirt over leotard for theatre and choir portions.

BOYS & MEN:

Over age 10, all male dancers are required to wear a dance belt or compression shorts under athletic wear.
